Today I'm being hosted by Roxanne's Realm. Roxanne has a stellar sight and has hosted some fantastic authors. Not only is Roxanne a tour host, she's also an author herself. So there are a lot of great things to check out from other authors. My interview with her is on there, along with my book information, purchase links and giveaway link for the $25 Amazon GC.
Have you signed up for my $25 Amazon GC giveaway. Follow my tour all month long. Today's tour stop is at 3 Partners in Shopping, Nana, Mommy, and Sissy, Too! My book will be a spotlight post giving a blurb, excerpt and links to where you can find me on social media. You can grab a copy of my book His Wolf's Desire on Amazon. On the Amazon site you get a inside look at the 1st chapter and part of the 2nd. Or you can buy it at my publisher website Loose Id. My publisher site allows you to download the 1st chapter and most of the 2nd.
So remember that upcoming author interview I bragged about on March 22, 2016. Well that author that I was referring to is NYT and USA Today Bestselling AuthorEve Vaughn.
I have been an Eve Vaughn fan forever! And I am thrilled to have had the chance to do a Q&A session with her. I have more Eve Vaughn books than I dare admit to. Her book was the very first romance book that I saw with an interracial couple on the cover. I remember being excited to actually see a cover which reflected diversity and had a heroine that had my skin tone. I always try to not get to deep with this topic, trust me this will be an in-depth post another day. But as a fan of all types of romance novels it was refreshing to see some diversity! And then when I read her book, the magic spell was completed. The book was as enticing on the inside as it was on the outside. So here is the link to my website where I have posted my Eve Vaughn interview. And once again I have to thank Eve for being so gracious and just downright awesome! Eve Vaughn's new book Jilted is available on Amazon. I had my interview with the oh so sweet Gayle Ross last night. And I have to tell you, I was soooooo nervous lol! I've never been interviewed before. And if you're wondering, yes I've had jobs before. I've had job interviews but this interview was different.
Gayle was amazing. Before the interview we had a few moments and she chatted me up trying to help settle my nerves. So here's where my inter dork is on display. I was super excited to give a shout out and personal thank you to two amazing women that have I met. I'm going to do this in reverse order. The second person I gave a shout out to was Roxanne D. Howard author of At The Heart Of The Stone. Her book is available now on both Amazon and Loose Id. Roxanne has been such a sweetheart and I'm proud to call her my friend. So shout out to you girlfriend! The first person I attempted to give a shout out to was Erica Lynn. Erica and I instantly gravitated to one another as newbie authors, We are constantly #Twinning and use the joke way too much. (Or maybe I do) But for us, it never gets old.! Anyway, I completely botched the name of her book. Yes, it is the same Erica Lynn I interviewed on my blog. Yes, it is the same Erica Lynn that I reviewed her book. And yes, it is the same book which I posted my review for. I was n-e-r-v-o-u-s okay!!!! All joking aside, I feel terrible. So I want to take this opportunity to say that Erica Lynn's book Her Husband's Brother is available to purchase on both Amazon and Loose Id. (During the interview I accidently said Her Brother's Husband. Gah! TOTALLY different book dynamic there. Although maybe I've given her an idea for her next book!) So here is my first (and probably last lol) interview with Gayle Ross on Bewitching Blog Radio! My super funny and sweet friend Robin Hill made this for me! You should totally follow her on twitter. Every time I read this, I hear Barry White's voice... ha!
His Wolf's Desire is now available on Amazon or my publisher's site Loose Id. I hope you buy it! I hope you love it! And I would love for you to leave a review. This book has been a long time coming and I'm so proud of the finished product. I'm very grateful to everyone at Loose Id for all of their hard work. Have a fabulous day! ~Shannon What better way to kick off a blog tour than with a radio interview? My blog tour which is being put on by Bewitching Book Tours will kick off the night before the release of His Wolf's Desire on April 12th at 8PM PST. My tour is scheduled from April 12th- May 10th. I will post a list of all of my tour stops soon. And of course I will share links to the fabulous bloggers that have signed up to let me stop by.
Please checkout my website shannonnydia.com, follow me on twitter shannonnydia001 or check me out on Instagram shannon_nydia. My book His Wolf's Desire is available for preorder on Amazon and Loose Id. So Excited! ~Shannon I love romance. I love romantic movies. I love romantic books. I love creating romantic stories. I am an adult. I'm not a pervert, I'm not writing about inappropriate things, and I'm not advocating indecency.
So let me break it down for you. Those R rated movies that are acceptable to go and watch, you know, the same ones that have sex scenes in them. Yah those. A writer, writes those scenes and then the actors, act them out. Now just because you don't see the word "penis" or "sex" or "vagina" or *gasp* "cock", you understand exactly what the character is touching, or kissing or rubbing. I find it laughable that there is a stigma around being a romance/erotica writer. Why? What's the difference between watching an R rated sex scene or reading about one? Why isn't a movie director or actor given the "turn my nose up at what you do" treatment? When you go to a movie, you go to watch the story. The action, the suspense, the violence, the heart warming moments, the shocking moments, the love scenes, the fight scenes and the conclusion. If you choose to only focus on the sex scenes, I feel sorry for you. I simply take a PG-13 story and make it rated R. What's the difference of watching an R rated movie that is rated that way because of the sexual content and reading an erotica book, which has sexual content. I'm proud of what I write. I'm proud of my story arcs, I'm proud of my characters, I'm proud of their journey. And yah, I'm proud of the sex scenes I've written. So it's okay for you to go watch a movie that has sex scenes and have no problem with it? But I can't write a book that has sex scenes in it? I don't understand the logic in that. But what do I know, I write sex scenes.... His Wolf's Desire is available for preorder on Amazon and Loose Id. Release date is April 12 His Wolf's Desire is currently available for preorder on my publisher's website! The countdown has officially begun! My book will be released in one week!! It feels like it was just yesterday that I got the email from my eventual editor Keren that put me on the path of being published. Time has flown by.
After getting some advice and pointers from author Kele Moon, (btw her book, The Enforcer, Untamed Hearts Book 3 is available on Loose Id) I decided to do a book tour and I choose Bewitching Book Tours. My book tour is set to kick off officially on April 11th. I will be interviewed live on Bewitching Radio by Gayle Ross at 10:00 CST. Then April 12th through May 10th M-F I will either have an author spot light, guest blog and/or review. My tour stops are all set and I will post the schedule and links to all the awesome bloggers that signed up as hosts next week. Did I already say that I am beyond excited??!! It's been awhile since I blogged on my author experience. So I thought I would give you an update.
The last few weeks have felt like a whirlwind. I have been so busy trying to prepare for my book release. But even though I've wanted to pull my hair out b/c of everything I'm trying to do, I honestly wouldn't have it any other way. I love being the captain of my ship. I view this whole author thing as my business. I joked before about building my empire, but I will say it again. No matter how big or small my empire ends up being it's mine to take ownership of. I'm not going to lie, I have BIG dreams when it comes to writing. Will my efforts pay off? Time will tell, but I love giving everything that I have in learning about the process. It really is trial and error at this point. But I'm having a blast! And there is no better feeling than giving 100% of myself to myself! Ok. So, I have been working hard trying to establish and maintain an online presence. And I'm really pleased with my results. To date I have over 400 twitter followers. And I did it all organically. I don't auto follow and I refuse to pay for followers. It's been fun engaging with and talking with so many different people. Facebook is growing although not as quickly as twitter. I find I like the twitter platform more than Facebook and devote more time and effort there. I am super pleased that my book is available for preorder on Amazon. Again, it's my preference, but I think having your book available for preorder is essential to the process. I think it helps build up anticipation. I'm ecstatic to say that I am getting preorder sales. I track my ranking religiously on Amazon. The only bad thing is I have no idea how many books I'm selling. But, it's a great tool to use to gauge my promotion efforts in relation to my Amazon rankings. On my publisher's website Loose Id, my book is visible for viewers to see, although you can't preorder yet on their website. But it does announce that it will be available soon. Loose Id has the first chapter available to read and you can also download the first chapter and most of the second chapter. I'm also really happy to say that my book has been trending on my publisher's website almost all day today. Again, this may not seem like a big deal, but I'm the only book that isn't available for purchase right now that is trending. So 10 more days (counting today) till my book is officially available! Ten more days of pre release promotion. Then, I'll be starting my blog tour April 12th, kicking it off first with my radio/podcast interview on April 11th. But I'll tell you more about that next post! |
